Tailored Town Planning Services is a boutique development planning firm which was established in 2020 and services the Newcastle, Hunter, Mid-Coast regions. Based in NSW’s Mid-Coast, Tailored TPS is family owned and run, providing a range of town planning services from pre-purchase advice through to development approval and modification to consent.

Tilly Munn

Town Planner

Matilda (Tilly), the face of Tailored TPS, has worked in the private sector her entire career, and enjoys the challenge of taking a mere development idea and turning it into a reality for the client. It’s no secret that the development approval system can be a rather frustrating and difficult time for those dealing with Councils and government agencies, and understandably can be a real turn off for those who don’t work in the industry. This is where Tailored TPS can work for you.

Raised in the country, Tilly has an appreciation and understanding for the desire of a country lifestyle. The benefits and pleasures of a small country town can be extraordinary, and as a result, Tilly loves the challenge of balancing rural developments against the relevant legislation whilst ensuring the country vibe remains. After living in Newcastle, Tilly and family have moved back to the country to provide planning services to those who hold the same values and appreciations.

Since graduating with a Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of New England, Tilly has worked in various private town planning firms within the Hunter NSW region. She has also furthered her studies and completed a Certificate of Bushfire Protection through the University of Western Sydney. Since beginning her career as a town planner, Tilly has gained vast experience in planning projects, including small to large residential and rural developments and subdivisions, industrial, commercial and infrastructure developments, rezonings, modifications to consent, bushfire threat assessments, Review of Environmental Factors, and Crime Prevention through Environmental Design developments.

Tilly understands the intricacies of town planning, and together with her down to earth approach, provides a professional and understanding attitude to development. Tailored TPS endeavours to provide a stress free and common sense service to those in need of professional town planning services.
